1:72 Messerschmitt Me 262 A-1a III (Lechfeld Air Base)

"What was that? What the hell was that? It went by like we were standing still!"
The Messerschmitt Me 262
was the world's first operational jet-powered fighter aircraft and started a new era of military and civilian air travel.
My artistic interpretation of an Messerschmitt Me 262 A-1a III from Lechfeld Air Base, 1944, 1:72 scale.
I'm mostly pleased with this project. It was a first model I made after few year break so some mistakes were expected, but I think it turned out pretty well overall. For detailed rundown of the models features, go see the entire building and painting process I documented on my YT channel in a form of a live stream.
The kit used was made by Revell. There were some pretty bad flashings on the frames and the windshield. The engines didn't come together cleanly and required a lot of sanding to get the connections to be smooth. Otherwise the plane was pleasant to assemble and had a decent level of detail. Considering the price, it's a pretty good kit from a middle shelf. 3,5/5⭐
